Peter is the second generation of film technicians to serve the British film industry. His mother Bernadette
Ibbetson a hairstylist and his father Kenneth Talbot, cameraman. With two uncles; Tom Ibbetson, props master
and Arthur Ibbetson, cameraman who was nominated for an Academy Award. Cousin Paul Ibbetson who

Click on the IMDb link to view the entry for a comprehensive credit list. The IMDb entries are not up
to date as the Ibbetson Talbot family worked on numerous projects such as TV commercials which are
not listed. For example Kenneth Talbot worked on average a hundred commercials a year in Hong Kong
over an eigteen year period.
Both Ken and Arthur were members of the BSC - British Society of Cinematographers.
'Bernie' trained as a hair stylist and was interviewed for a job at
MGM Studios in Borehamwood in the early 1950's.
While working on a film production the producers asked her to chaperone a young actress by the name of Elizabeth Tailor. Bernie decided her career was in hairstyling not as a chaperone so declined the offer.
In the mid 1950's Bernie opened her own hair dressing salon in Flask Walk, Hampstead North London and continued her freelance work in films.
In 1956 she married my father Ken.
Although her life was short, she was a true professional and
styled the hair for the world's most famous actors and actresses.

Ken started his career in documentaries which led him into features. He also had an active career in TV series
and commercials. Ken became an expatriot in 1975 and lived in Hong Kong for the next 18 years. He worked for various companies including COLOR AD a commercials company.
Ken would shoot on average 10 commercials per month in Hong Kong and around the South Asia Pacific.
Ken returned to England 1992.
